O Sinners Let's Go Down, Let's Go Down, Come On Down...

Just chillin...Jazz and Bluegrass on tap tonight.

It has been a quiet couple of days.  The only problem I have encountered is trying to find some nice pajamas for my Stay-cation I am taking in a couple of weeks.  Who knew it was going to be so ridiculously impossible to find something cute and soft and comfortable to fit my fat butt?!!

Jammie-Gate.

One of my problems is when I get into a store - say Burlington Coat Factory - I end up getting pissed when they have nothing to fit me and I end up looking at other clothes instead.  Hmm...maybe this explains why I walked out that door this morning with a picture frame, two shirts and two skirts.  I really need to find a job where I can actually wear my new wardrobe.  Comfy jammies would soothe my despair...

Oh well...back to it.  When I was going through the photo folders on this computer last night, I realized I had some photos saved I haven't posted.  Silly me.  These go back a couple of weeks ago to when Mara and I had Olive Garden.

And this past week when Pappy and I went to Bob Evans after my "procedure" to fill my empty belly.  Do you see the little pitchers of the nasty stuff...the DEVIL'S BLOOD??  Syrup...gag!!  The photo following it shows MY plate of untainted French Toast...

And these are some photos of the beautiful mess Mother Nature has gifted us these past couple of weeks.

And this accidental photo I apparently made while taking photos at the cemetery.  I guess I hit the shutter when I was sitting Chuck down on the seat.  A fun surprise.

Then we have this one from Bob Evans...me messing around.  I always wonder what the people around me are thinking when I do stuff like this....well...who cares, right?  Especially when I can make fun photos like these.

Well...I'm off to do a little more investigating into Jammie-Gate.  Wish me luck!

More of the same....

Okay...

Here are the other photos from the cemetery...the ones I made with Chuck wearing his regular lens.

I've got to follow that dream wherever that dream may lead....

Do you know the absolute number one reason I LOVE being single?  I do NOT have to explain myself to anyone.  Ever.

Well...

Elvis.  Why do I have an Elvis song stuck in my head?  I don't even like him!  Oh well...

This morning, I decided to stop at a few cemeteries with the pinhole cap on Chuck.  What better way to express my feelings than in a cemetery?  Seriously.  I really like the effect this thing has.  Everything almost glows.  It is a little inconvenient to use though, since I have to use the live view and on sunny mornings it is almost useless.  Especially when I am sporting my awesome shiny white security officer outfit.  Talk about glare. Geesh.

The first cemetery I drove through is Highland in Ft. Mitchell.  I haven't been there for a while and there is this crazy naked Sycamore tree I like to visit.  Check it out...

Isn't that cool??

I made a bunch of photos with the pinhole cap and a few with my long lens - which I will post on another date.

And check this bad boy out...lens flare!!!  Cool, huh?

I was fairly lucky that most of the lanes were cleared.  I didn't really take that into account until I made my way down the street to St. John's.  Holy Crap!  Once I drove in there I was really afraid I wasn't going to be able to navigate to narrow STILL FROZEN drive!  Luckily, I made a quick 3-point turn (on a hill, mind you) and made tracks.  I did stop - of course - and take a couple of quick photos.

I was disappointed I didn't get much farther into the cemetery so I decided to head over to Evergreen Cemetery in Southgate.  Here's a shot of the snow on the exit ramp to Ky17...don't worry...I pulled over to take the photo (this time).

Needless to say, that choice was a bust, also.  The entrance is a long drive up a hill towards the chapel.  Well...there was a sign posted that the cemetery was closed due to icy conditions and enter at your own risk!!  I had to slip and slide up the hill to be able to turn around.  Geez...

After all of that I just called it a day.  Maybe I can go to Spring Grove Sunday morning.  I have a feeling the snow will still be around until then...just a sneaking suspicion.

Getting Old Is No Fun....

Well...I lived.

Friday morning was exceptionally stressful (don't tell anybody I said that..I was trying to be the big, strong type).  I survived the gallons and gallons of laxatives I had to choke down along with the FOUR pills - where the normal dosage being only one.  Toward the end of ingest-a-thon, I was actually holding my nose, praying the stuff would not only go down but stay down.  Blech.  In all honesty, though, it was nowhere near as bad as I anticipated.  Although...after spending more than a few minutes sitting on the throne...I determined this here little container holds the elixir of the gods.  Mama's little helper.

Pappy and I arrived at the doctor's office at about 6:45am and I am telling you, the place was already hoppin'.  These procedures must be THE in thing with all the popular kids.  Geez.  Everyone was extremely nice and very, very efficient.  My nurse ended up being a girl I went to school with in the 8th grade.  How cool is that??  Small world.

Well...here are a few pics of my ordeal.

Whatever sedative they give you is really weird.  They call it "conscious sedation".  Needless to say, since I worked almost a full shift before I my appointment, there was no "conscious" and just about all "sedation".  One minute I was sitting there wondering how my heart rate was a mere 72 when I was completely freaking out and the next minute I was looking at live feed on the monitor of the doctor removing a polyp.  (Lassoed that bad-boy right up and yanked him out.)  I guess I must have said something out-loud because the next thing I remember was being back in the area where I started and the nurse telling me she was going to get Pappy.

Now I get to share some cool pictures - of the pictures - of my guts.   This first set is from the Endoscopy.  Where is that light coming from the end of that tunnel?  Aliens?

This one is where my belly has been hurting.  The prescription he gave me seems to be working.  Cross my fingers.

So...this leads us to the pièce de résistance.  The dreaded Colonoscopy.  These photos are from the other end.

It is both cool and creepy.  See that last photo?  The thing that looks like a Bot Fly?  (Let's hope not!!)  That was the 6mm polyp that I won't have any information on until sometime this week.  Look how clean and shiny everything looks...is that a little weird to say?

Well...everything went well and as soon as we were able to leave Pappy and I made tracks to Bob Evans to load up my poor empty belly.  I even went back to work that night.  (I only missed 35 minutes of work Friday morning and that's only because we had to be there so early.)  The drive home Saturday morning is a whole other story.  Maybe later, though...let this plethora of strange information sink in first.

Sorry.  :)
