“There is no real ending. It’s just the place where you stop the story.” ~Frank Herbert

Ok...

Where was I...Oh yeah.  Here are the rest of my photos from this past month.

Or?

Let it go, man...

Mara and I were at the City Flea in Washington Park...purchasing some more art...and soap.  The rehab on this church is absolutely gorgeous.

Hmm...

We were having Taco Bell in the car under the train trestle in Covington.

Seems we differ on our definition...

St. Mary's Cathedral Basilica of the Assumption, Covington, KY.

I guess this means I need to leave the house and take some more photos....

“He was always in a hurry to get where he was not.” ~Leo Tolstoy, War and Peace

So...

Next round.  Let's surprise me (it's almost the end of my shift and I was busy coloring and watching my shows, so now I'm in a rush...).

How about a baked snake and some Purple Coneflowers....

Tomorrow, I'll do a better job of it.

Cheers.

"All that we see or seem, Is but a dream within a dream." ~EDGAR ALLAN POE, A Dream Within a Dream

Ok...

I think we're good with the impromptu "I have way too much empty time on my hands" food and Lego photos.

Other than my new, really weird and vivid dreams, not much has been happening.  Soccer and British TV.  My life is so full.

We have poppies blooming this year.  Evey time I walk past them I hear the Wicked Witch:

We have been cruising around Ludlow.  There are so many more churches than I remember.

This is where I attended kindergarten!!  (NOT in 1869, though.)

The stuff of nightmares.  I still will not ever (ever, ever, ever) again get in past my ankles.

If you love sharks and looking at awesome shark photos, I cannot recommend highly enough the photographer Michael Muller's book, just released through Taschen Press.

Here's the link - Michael Muller - Sharks

I found it much cheaper on Amazon and it was worth every penny.  Beautifully terrifying.

“Never eat more than you can lift.” ~Miss Piggy

Ok...

Let's see what's next in the folder...food porn (apparently).

The guacamole looks really disgusting here but it was so tasty....I was only going to eat half of this but ended up scarfing down almost all of it.

I'm sure I'll say this 1000 more times:  Never.  Again.

I was so miserable the rest of the night.

And here I am...being all artsy-fartsy with Frosted Mini Wheats - and a Gatorade bottle as a stand.  Necessity is the mother of invention...(and yes, I quote Plato)

Do you know how hard it is to find white chocolate candy?

Note:  I gave up "chocolate candy" in 1996 BUT there are some exceptions to the rule.
   1.  "White chocolate" doesn't count - ever.
   2.  If it's in a cookie or cake it's no longer "candy".  It's now an ingredient.
   3.  If it's melted, it's no longer candy.  It's melted - duh.

Ferrero Raffaello Almond Coconut Treats are decadent...

And - just to throw this one in - Charity Tabernacle in Cold Spring.  I love the early morning fog...I wish their steeple had lights inside of it.

" We can never know about the days to come, But we think about them anyway..." ~Carly Simon

So...

I'm sitting here tonight, waiting on the terrible storms - which are not so far off now.  Tornado warnings are in effect for Warren and Clinton counties, which aren't really that close but it's a pretty long line of storms - with yet another behind it.  Yay.  At least I know where I can go if something happens.

Here's the next batch of photos documenting my month of slacking...

Hmm....we seem to be spending a lot of time at IHoP (considering the fact that I loathe syrup of any kind - or...as I call it..."Devil's Blood").

Gag.  (These were quite tasty, though.)

"When the road looks rough ahead - And you're miles and miles - From your nice warm bed..." ~Randy Newman

Ok....

As I was editing the 250 photos on Chuck last night, I realized my life consists mainly of food and Legos.  AND the fact that I shoot all of these photos at work.  Work - where I spend 56hrs. (or more) every week.  My home away from home.  My life - such as it is....

Oh well, let's just get on with it.

I edited down to 44 photos, so I'll just post a few each day....drag it out.  I'm just going to go in the order I took them.  (I'm embarrassed to say that the first photo was taken on May 22.  I'm getting sloppy lazy - again.)

Hmm...it appears that I DID go out of the house!  Covington and the MainStrasse Bazaar.

These two...

Poor Whitney...all shaven and shorn...

And a kitty on a leash!!

I still can't get Ripken outta my head.

Oh yeah...

“People think dreams aren't real just because they aren't made of matter, of particles. Dreams are real. But they are made of viewpoints, of images, of memories and puns and lost hopes.” ~Neil Gaiman

So...

I had the weirdest (most awesomest!!!) dream today.  It was one of those where you wake up and can't determine if it really happened.  (Or maybe I'm just going a smidge crazy.)  Why this guy?  I haven't even been following baseball this year!  Or even thought of him since he retired!  I did get to see him play in person back when we were traveling so much to watch the St. Louis Cardinals.  The Cards played the O's in spring training one of the years we were down there.  And he played.  And I have some photos of him...somewhere.  Now I'm going to have to look for them.  Oh my.

Let's just say, "Thanks, Cal."

Made my day - enough that I'm still thinking about it.

Those eyes....

“I believe in everything until it's disproved. So I believe in fairies, the myths, dragons. It all exists, even if it's in your mind. Who's to say that dreams and nightmares aren't as real as the here and now?”
― John Lennon

(Sorry, Heather.  I'm borrowing your photo.)

Goodbye to another Legend....
