"A rose is a rose is a rose."

So....

We can complain because rose bushes have thorns, or rejoice because thorn bushes have roses.

“Obstacles are those things you see when you take your eyes off the goal.” – Henry Ford

Well...

I didn't get to see the moon AGAIN tonight.  So...I'll post these sunrise photos from last week.  Maybe I'll get another chance tomorrow night.

“The night walked down the sky with the moon in her hand.” ~Frederic Lawrence Knowles

Well...

Tonight was the Super Moon - Total Eclipse - Blood Red Moon...and it was too cloudy here at the most important time of the eclipse.  Oh...Chuck and I were out for a little over an hour at the beginning, but we didn't get to see the best part.  I just went outside (it's midnight here) and the eclipse is still in its final stages, but it's no longer "red" and I didn't bring a tripod with me anyway.  Oh well, I think I'm going to try to get a few shots of the moon as it rises tomorrow.  It's should be big and bright.

Here are 3 photos I salvaged from tonight's endeavors...

And One Becomes Two...

Oh god....make it stop...

Now I'm listening to Lionel Richie!!  (To be fair...he was in my head a couple of days ago...)

Current Mood....

“It takes less effort to keep an old customer satisfied than to get a new customer interested..."

Well...

As you can see, I have been SUPREMELY busy.

Yeah, right.  I am back to working 7 days a week, my job is the epitome of boring, thankfully the Fall television schedule has started (I'm running out of stuff to watch at night) and my hand is freaking killing me.  I have also slipped back into my hermit mode.  So...not too many photos.

Pappy and I go here often enough that the little old ladies running the registers are going to start talking about us...

This sign is in the back parking lot of Krispy Kreme...it belongs to the business next door.

Every time Pappy and I visit the Goodwill in Bellevue I catch this view out of the corner of my eye.  This time I was able to get Chuck in place quick enough to capture it.

And I am completely obsessed with these Legos.  So...now everybody knows what to get me for my birthday...or my Saturday...

" Do you know where you're going to? Do you like the things that life is showing you...."

Well...

I've been particularly lazy, haven't I?  Nothing has been going on, so I haven't been taking any photos.  My car is still dead, so no field trips.  I broke my 50mm lens, so I have to save up for a new one of those.  I loved that lens.  I think I'm going to spend the extra $25 and get a little better one this time.

Well, here are the photos I had on Chuck...since the last week of August.

Lazy bum.

We were at the storage unit, looking for a shovel (to no avail), when I saw this little dude on one of the unit doors.  I made Pappy drive back around so I could take his portrait.  I actually got out of the car, too.  (He was really this color.)

This is the Shepard Fairey mural in Northside.  Was is so cool about it - other than LOOK AT IT - is that someone damaged it not too long after Fairey installed it and when he heard about that, he sent replacement parts for repairs.

We were visiting Spring Grove Cemetery (again) and happened to see a large patch of these flowers under one of the huge trees.  When I got out to take a photo, I realized that they were crocuses - in the fall!!  We asked at Rahn's Nursery and they really are a thing!  Hmm...I'm going to find some bulbs to plant in the spring.

We stopped at the greenhouses by Spring Grove looking for some Moonbeam Coreopsis to fill in where some bushes were removed at home.  (Maybe I can take some photos of those now.)

And then we had IHop (again) for lunch.  Since it was about 190° out and I'm a big fat chick, the waitress couldn't bring me fluids fast enough.  I was ready to take a bath in the sink before we ordered.

Well...hopefully, I can get off my butt and take a few more photos.  The leaves will be changing very soon....maybe that will be some incentive.
