“If we could see the miracle of a single flower clearly, our whole life would change.” ~Buddha

So....

Last week, one of my Amazon friends asked if I would take some photos of the white trees for him.  Challenge accepted, Mr. Trejos.

Probably not what he was looking for but, hey, he should have been a little more specific.  I just took the ball and ran.

"I've got nothing to do and all day to do it..."

Well...

I've been the busy little bee.

Bwahahahaha!!!

No, seriously.  Busy...but not with work stuff.  ART STUFF (at work)!!  Legos and coloring books.  It's great to be a kid again!

Here are 4 different photos of my new Zac Efron Lego dude.  I was trying to decide (well...I was being all artsy-fartsy) which depth of field I liked better.

f-2.8

f-8

f-11

or f-22.

Then Zac got all excited and sped away...

As you can tell, I have WAY too much time on my hands.  Case in point?  I purchased a coloring book...of mandalas.  I decided to make copies and color them in case one or two turn out nice enough to frame.  These are my first 2.  I used my mom's oil paint pencils.  Pretty cool!!  And they turned out beautifully.

Nice!

“Welcome back, my friends, to the show that never ends”

He had white Horses
And ladies by the score
All dressed in satin
And waiting by the door

Ooooh, what a lucky man he was
Ooooh, what a lucky man he was

White lace and feathers
They made up his bed
A gold covered mattress
On which he was led

Ooooh, what a lucky man he was
Ooooh, what a lucky man he was

He went to fight wars
For his country and his king
Of his honor and his glory
The people would sing

Ooooh, what a lucky man he was
Ooooh, what a lucky man he was

A bullet had found him
His blood ran as he cried
No money could save him
So he laid down and he died

Ooooh, what a lucky man he was
Ooooh, what a lucky man he was

"Blessed they are who see beautiful things in humble places where other people see nothing." ~Camille Pissarro

So...

Been livin' high on the hog.

Hey...just because I have a crappy job doesn't mean I can't partake of the finer things in life.  Sitting in my "jail cell", munching on hors d'oeuvres consisting of Triscuts, a smear of Brie, a blackberry and a drizzle of honey, makes me feel all la-di-da.  I keep forgetting to bring my new antique Noritake teacup and saucer - so I can have high tea and biscuits.

Who says I ain't got culture...

“Don't dare to be different, dare to be yourself. If that doesn't make you different then something is wrong.”

Okay...

So, I only have a couple of photos to post.  I really haven't been doing anything exciting, hence the chintzy amount of shots.

Sorry.

I've been trying out the depth of field on my new 24mm and I am really impressed (and satisfied).  The first one is from breakfast at Frisch's with Pappy.  I was trying to see how small of a focal range I could shoot.

This one is my first Crocus sighting of 2016.  (Exciting!!)  To be fair...it was a little windy and I am not getting on my knees to take photos...we would need to call the Fire Department to come help me up off the ground.

I did stop on the side of the expressway to take these...no driving with my elbows...promise.  These are an experiment with the Gradient Filter on Lightroom.  I have no idea how to use it - I watched a video.  You really can't tell the difference with the first photo where I used it and the other two where I just processed like normal.  Oh well.  It was worth a try.  Sky was gorgeous - either way.

(They do look a little different, don't they...)
