“Life is a series of natural and spontaneous changes. Don't resist them; that only creates sorrow. Let reality be reality. Let things flow naturally forward in whatever way they like.” ~Lao Tzu

So...

It's been really busy at work this past 2 weeks or so.  We moved to the new office space and now have 2 officers per shift.  It's not too bad, but I am REALLY used to being there by myself.  It's a transition.  I've also been working a ton of hours...so even MORE excuses I can conjure up for not posting.  It is still a mystery where they cameras in the office are pointed, so that might also be an issue (no electronics - even phones - while on duty.)

We'll see.

I don't even remember which photos I processed for this post, so we can all be surprised.  😁

Enjoy!

"Whether you succeed or not is irrelevant, there is no such thing. Making your unknown known is the important thing." ~Georgia O'Keeffe

Ok...

No one is coming to look at my page.  😞  (At least the emojis are back.)

Here are some more random photos.  I'll keep posting...maybe someone will stumble upon my blog.

Enjoy.

“The magic is only in what books say, how they stitched the patches of the universe together into one garment for us.” ~Ray Bradbury, Fahrenheit 451

Well...

Today was okay.  I slept, I ate, I'm working 12hrs tonight.  I don't much like all of these changes, though.  Too much, too fast.  Things are going to be edgy for awhile, I'm thinking.  Yay.

So...let's just get on with the good stuffs...you know...my photos.

Chapter 2 of this week's randomness.

Enjoy.

“Nothing in the world is permanent, and we’re foolish when we ask anything to last, but surely we’re still more foolish not to take delight in it while we have it. If change is of the essence of existence one would have thought it only sensible to make it the premise of our philosophy.”

~W. Somerset Maugham, The Razor's Edge

So...

My head didn't explode about the "new" Blogger setup.  I do have a couple of things I don't like.  The list of emojis to insert into my text is gone and when you add your photos, they add in reverse order.  My poor little OCD soul does not like that!  It's hard to drag the photos around into a different order without compromising the spacing between each.  I need order and regiment.  Geez.  (Don't judge.)

Ok...today's post consists of a documentation of MY FARM!!  Things are actually growing!  It would not be possible without my "team".  I'm the "Farmer", Pappy is my "Farm Manager" and Mara is my "Farm Hand".  I found her the perfect hat to wear while she's tending the crops...I'll make sure to get a photo.

I planted 3 different types of potatoes in 5-gallon buckets.  As the plants grow, you backfill the bucket with dirt up to the top of the stems, adding more dirt as the plants grow.  This forces the plants to supercharge their root growth to keep up, resulting in more potatoes!

Next are my flowers and four 1-gallon buckets of peppers.  I have a green bell, yellow bell, a Habanero and a Serrano.  There are Zinnias, Gerbera Daisies with a sweet potato vine, Begonias, Geraniums, Coreopsis and a couple of other pretties in a pot, Fuchsia with a licorice vine and a nice Coleus.  I love the colors.

These are dozen Seed Geraniums I planted in my flower box.  I might have to keep turning the box around since the plants grow towards the sun.  They'll get lopsided if I don't.

Now, the pièce de résistance...the tomatoes - down on the South 40.  I hope, hope, HOPE that we have a huge yield this year!  I am super excited and cannot believe how big the plants have grown in such a small amount of time.  Mara must have a green thumb!  I'll keep updating as the summer progresses.

I also my some wildflower seed bombs today to chuck up on the hill right across from our deck.  I asked our neighbor downstairs (while I was trying to soften her up with banana bread Mara made) if her grandson would help us "plant" them on Friday or Saturday.  I erroneously told her I only made about 40 or so bombs...when in actuality, after I counted them, I made 91!  Oopsy.  Oh well, we can cover the whole hill now.  I'm hoping they'll explode on impact since I used really loose potting soil to make them.

And check this out....I have TWO tomatoes!!!  Look how ENORMOUS they are!!  WooHoo!

Apply yourself both now and in the next life. Without effort, you cannot be prosperous. Though the land be good, You cannot have an abundant crop without cultivation.

"Everyone thinks of changing the world, but no one thinks of changing himself." ~Leo Tolstoy

So...

More freaking change.  Blogger has "updated" to a new version.  We'll see if my head explodes tonight.

Ok...today was dumb.  My knee and shoulder hurt so much that I only slept 3-1/2hrs.  Total.  This makes everything else even worse.

Woe is me.  Let's throw a pity party.

I have so much crap I need to do but by the time I get home, I feel like I can't do it.  At least Mara and Pappy brought my dirt up onto the deck for me today, and Mara made the banana bread I was going to make.

Some good news is that my Victory Garden is thriving!  I needed the dirt to back fill the buckets of potatoes.  (They're GINORMOUS already!)  I also needed some dirt because I'm going to make my own wildflower seed bombs.  I'm going to enlist the help of the kid next door to toss them up on the side of the hill behind our house.  I saw him doing the same thing 2 years ago, but the lady who lived upstairs always made the landscapers mow the hill.  Well...she passed away last year, so I'm going to have Colin help me try again.  I'm going to make a bunch of smaller bombs with the hope that they will have a better chance of germinating.  I'll take some photos of what we have going on in the garden.  Hopefully, it won't rain (again) tomorrow.  Fingers crossed.

Well...the photos for the next couple of days are some "rando" ones from 2019.  Not sure what my motive was for choosing them, but let's go with it.  (At least I am capable of remembering WHERE the photos were taken.)

Enjoy.
